mad skills

first of all, could this be anymore fun! who gets to spend an afternoon with a charming little guy? i do! we had a good time crusing around a neighborhood park where he showed me his mad skills...

not only can he sit like a champ...

but he was a huge fan of showing off his tongue. a talent he apparently hasn't shared with too many people (lucky me!)...

and lucky for mom and dad there were still plenty of tongueless smiles and super sweet expressions to share...

oh and if having adorable footsies (love them) was a skill he totally showed those off too...

needless to say we had a jolly good time and even with the occasional tongue shot we definitely came away with lots of winners. looking forward to seeing you again soon little man!

hello sunshine

this happy little girl had a rainy first session but luckily we were able to reschedule for a beautiful sunny morning! we had fun at the park and getting all kinds of hugs and kisses from mom and dad.

she was pretty happy most of the time but even when she decided to be so serious, she was still plenty adorable (how could you not love those eyes).

she even got to test out wiggling her bare toes in the grass. i think she liked it (well maybe for a little while)

glad we finally found a sunny day to play!

little darling

have i mentioned yet how much i love newborns? so sweet, so little, so many wrinkles and rolls that i just can't seem to get enough of! if you've ever been in a newborn session with me you know that it is often hard for me to stop. so i was of course thrilled when i got the chance to photograph this little darling not even 10 days old. how precious is she?

and her precious little hands that seemed to be popping up everywhere!
they are so tiny but only for so long. i am so happy to be able to capture all those precious details.
these kinds of photos are my favorites. the ones that show just how little they are.
thanks for a fun session. hopefully we tired you out enough that mom + dad could get some rest too!

is it new? to me, yes!
is it missing a pedal? yes
does it actually ride? no so much
is the paint peeling? yes
is it still totally awesome? yes!

well he may not have made it through the whole session awake but he survived being scooted, turned and propped and didn't make a fuss. thanks to his good behavior mom + dad got plenty of sweet photos of their little man.

windy city love

what a fun weekend! i got to eat delish pizza, see chicago and hang out with these two love birds.

i couldn't pass up an opportunity to photograph my bestest friend (since 4th grade!) and her lovely fiancé. so i didn't... i flew to chicago for the weekend and followed these guys around with my camera in celebration of their recent engagement. we went all over the city and had some fun.

can't wait to celebrate your wedding in october!
