i can hardly believe that this little cutie is already one! seems like just yesterday i was taking his newborn pictures. oh how fast they grow! we had a fun time exploring the sites in downtown minneapolis. he was quite the little ham for the camera.

sweet smiles

baby it's cold outside! and very, very snowy. so we headed indoors for this little guys one year pics. i've had an absolutely wonderful time getting to know him and watch him grow. he is just as sweet as the first day i met him and full of smiles. here are a few of the highlights from his one year session!

how do i get so lucky?! so many cute kiddos so little time. i was fortunate enough to take his one year pictures last year so we were already pretty good buds. but he certainly kept me on my toes! 

i love a smile as much as the next person. but when i saw this face i couldn't help but love it...

some of the best pictures, in my opinion, aren't always of the kiddo looking at the camera and smiling. i love to catch them in their natural habits. even when they are just doing what they do everyday it can be simply adorable!

but the session wouldn't be complete with some killer smiles. of which he had plenty!

it was quite the morning! i had a great time chasing this little guy and his giraffe buddy around.

oh so sweet

it has definitely been a spring/summer of newborns...and i can't get enough. i love to see their fresh little faces and the overflowing amount of love that surrounds them. this little lady was only a couple days old and was already taking up plenty of room in mom and dads hearts.

and oh that hair! 

just when you thought she couldn't get any more adorable. she snuck in a smile...

pride + joy

oh what a day! my first wall art. ain't she a beauty...

it is so exciting for me to see my pictures up in peoples homes. it makes me smile. so when these guys asked for some wall art i went to town. i had a lot of fun arranging photos and helping them pick something out that would look good in their home. and i couldn't be happier with how it turned out! i think by the smiles i saw when it was done they were pretty happy too.

hidden gem

in my opinion there are two ingredients to successful session: a fun subject and a great locale.

i certainly lucked out this time! not only was this family adorable but we stumbled upon a very unique location with all kinds of fun backdrops. this is what makes being an on location photographer so much fun. finding hidden gems like this one!

get down with your decorative self

i like to take pictures of pretty things. and not just people. over the last couple of years i have been collecting photos i have taken from various locales and even right in my living room to create a decorative art collection. even if it took me over 6 months, well 6 months and 3+ years, to complete it was well worth it! i am so pleased with the results and i had a lot of fun playing with the images to make them just right.
